Fee Philosophy

At Insurance Advisory Service, we prioritise transparency and alignment of interests in managing your investments. Our fee philosophy reflects our commitment to providing exceptional service while keeping your costs predictable and manageable.

Why does IAS use a flat fee structure?

Because we believe your fees should be clear, fair and easy to understand. Financial advice is complex enough without having to decipher what you’re being charged. Our flat fee structure means you always know exactly what you’re paying, and there are no hidden costs or complicated tiers.

How much does IAS charge?

We charge a flat fee of 1% of assets under management (exclusive of GST), capped at $8,500 per year for portfolios above $850,000. That cap is important: it means that as your wealth grows, your fee doesn’t keep growing with it. You benefit from the growth you’ve built.

What are the benefits of a capped fee?

Transparency. You can focus on your strategy, not on deciphering your bill.

Alignment. We do well when you do well. Our interests are genuinely aligned with yours.

Predictability. Your costs don’t fluctuate wildly with the market. You can plan with confidence.

Fairness. Clients with larger portfolios aren’t penalised with ever-rising fees.

What’s included in the ongoing service?

Our fee covers the full scope of your financial relationship with us: personalised strategy, regular reviews of your asset allocation and cash flow, strategic updates, help liaising with providers, priority access to our team, annual reporting on your financial position, and implementation support after every meeting. If a complex project ever requires additional work beyond the standard service, we’ll always let you know upfront.

Are there any hidden charges?

No. What you see is what you pay. If anything falls outside the scope of our standard service, we’ll discuss it with you first and agree on any additional cost before we proceed. No surprises.

Have questions about how our fees work?

We’re happy to walk you through our fee structure in detail and explain exactly what you can expect. Reach out any time.
